Spectacular World cup competition was organized by Moroccan nanbudo federation in a beautiful Olympic sports hall in Casablanca, September 22-24. More than 100 competitors took part in this event and showed why nanbudo sport becomes more and more atractive for young people. Traditional nanbudo disciplines like individual kata, ju randori and specially self defence demo katas, offered excellent performances. On the top of that, new atractive disciplines – nanbudo kumite and ki nagare kumite – fully justified its inclusion in the world level competitions. Absolute highlight of the competiton was the finals in kata and demo which was held on Sunday, 24 Sept. on the tatami that was set up on the main square in Casablanca. More than thousand people gathered around the tatami and supported best nanbudo performers. Grand finale finished in a fantastic atmosphere and celebrations of the winners ceremony. Most succesful team of the championship was the host Moroccan team, followed by Croatian and Iranian teams. INF thanks the host of the competiton for great hospitality and fantastic organization.
