During the successful 8th Nanbudo World Championship (NWC) in Istanbul, the International Nanbudo Federation (INF) held its General Assembly and elections for the 2026–2030 mandate.

Arnaud Nkamhoua of France was re-elected President of the INF for a third consecutive mandate.

After 16 years of dedicated service as General Secretary, Petar Turković of Croatia stepped down from the position bringing to an end a long chapter of service to the INF. The General Assembly elected Giuseppe Ferrara of Switzerland as the new General Secretary.

Four Vice Presidents representing the different continental areas were also elected:

  • Ahmed Gaad (Morocco) – Vice President for Africa
  • Arvind Kotnala (India) – Vice President for Asia
  • Salih Cam (Türkiye) – Vice President for Europe
  • Mehdi Naguib (Canada) – Vice President for Pan-America

Petar Turković of Croatia was elected Technical Director of the INF for the 2026–2030 mandate, continuing his contribution to the Federation with responsibility for its technical development.

The General Assembly also approved the relocation of the INF headquarters from Geneva to Lugano, Switzerland.

At its first constitutive meeting, the newly elected Executive Committee confirmed the hosts of the forthcoming Nanbudo World Championships:

  • 2027 – Benin
  • 2028 – India
  • 2029 – Morocco
  • 2030 – Senegal
  • 2031 – France

The INF looks forward to continuing its development and strengthening international cooperation and the worldwide promotion of Nanbudo during the new 2026–2030 mandate.
