Turkish nanbudo federation hosted World Junior and Senior Nanbudo Championships in Combat Disciplines and Forms in Istanbul October 3-6. Parallely a World Cup competition in Kata, Nanbudo randori, Balance Combat and Nanbudo Kumite for younger age groups took place.
With participation of more than 400 athletes from 18 countries, the event presented a great success. Unfortunately due to the tensed political situation in some regions of the world, many countries canceled their participation in the last moment.
Neverhteless, competition showed a lot of good fights and forms, specially from the athletes from Morocco, Switzerland, Croatia, France and of course host’s athletes from Turkiye.
Particularly Turkish athletes showed significant advancement specially in junior categories.
Most medals in the World Championship disciplines were won by Morrocan and Croatian teams, while Turkish host won most medals in the World Cup series.
INF thanks TNF for great efforts to organize and host this year’s WC, from which all the participants will bring home good memories and new friendships.
