The President of the International Nanbudo Federation, Dr. Arnaud Nkamhoua, has officially announced an important and historic project to be held in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

On March 21, 2026, the city will host the first-ever open karate edition tournament, titled the International Grand Prix of Yaoundé (GPDY).

This unique international event will bring together athletes from seven countries, representing a wide range of sports, including:

  • Nanbudo
  • Karate styles: Shotokan, Wado-ryu, and Shito-ryu
  • Taekwondo
  • Savate (Boxe Française)

All competitors will face off under the innovative rules of Mixed Karate Fight (MKF), creating a dynamic and inclusive combat format.

The event is organized by a distinguished committee led by:

  • Dr. Arnaud Nkamhoua – President of INF
  • Pharell Akouan – President of KCC
  • Dr. André Molemb – Head of INF Judges Committee for Africa
  • Colonel Clément Nga – Tournament Director
  • Cyrille Messako – National Karate Champion
